The American Political Science Association serves a diverse membership around the world. From 2015 onwards, APSA required members to opt in or opt out of providing demographic information.
APSA’s annual membership survey of the profession measures satisfaction with the association, membership benefits, and programming. The survey also evaluates views of the overall climate, policy environment and engagement within the discipline and at the Annual Meeting. Some of the main demographics provided by our members from 2016 to 2026 are illustrated below.
