In a recent APSA survey of political scientists, 43% of respondents reported experiencing anxiety, and 26% reported experiencing depression in the past decade. Join APSA for a panel discussion about experiences with managing anxiety and depression in graduate school and as you begin your career as a professor.   1. The statistic that 43% of political scientists reported anxiety in the past decade really underscores how systemic this issue is within academia. It’s encouraging to see a major association creating space for this specific conversation. Hopefully this leads to more tangible departmental support.
