APSA Status Committee on Graduate Students in the Profession

The Committee on the Status of Graduate Students in the Profession brings attention to issues and concerns affecting PhD students in the discipline. It provides input to the APSA council and staff on policies and programs to effectively engage and support them. APSA Careers Diversity Committee

The APSA Careers Diversity Committee supports APSA programming and resources that expand career opportunities for doctoral students and faculty beyond the academy, and strengthens connections with political scientists in government, industry, and nonprofit sectors.

The APSA RESPECT Campaign encourages “professional respect” by and towards all APSA annual meeting attendees and participants at all times. Respect stands for Respectful, Equitable, Safe, Professional, and Ethical Conduct Towards All. The APSA Sexual Harassment Survey Report and Anti-Harassment Policy (code of conduct) address the importance of facilitating a climate of respect at the annual meeting.
