Travel and Research Grant: APSA Committee on the Status of Asian Pacific Americans Scholarship | Deadline: June 28, 2026

The APSA Committee on the Status of Asian Pacific Americans Scholarship encourages and supports conference travel and research of political science students and scholars who study and research Asian/Asian American politics. Priority will be given to applications from students and contingent faculty. Grants will not exceed $500. All are welcome to apply!

Application Deadline: June 28, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern.

Eligible travel grant expenses:

  • Travel grants will be awarded to support the cost of travel to the APSA Annual Meeting, or at a different scholarly conference.
  • Expenses include mileage for attendees who travel by car or plane tickets for attendees who will travel by air. Travel grants can also include hotel costs, meals, on-site and conference related Wi-Fi, and cab/ridesharing costs.

Eligible research expenses:

  • Research grants will be awarded to support eligible research topics.
  • Expenses include: access to data or archival records, paying undergraduate or graduate student research assistants, purchasing statistical software to facilitate research; costs associated with manuscript preparation, travel for fieldwork or research site visits, and professional development activities (such skills or methods training acquisition).
