Navigating Accommodations in Graduate School: A Joint APSA Status Committee Virtual Workshop

Join the APSA Committee on the Status of Graduate Students in the Profession and the APSA Committee on the Status of Disability in the Profession for a professional development workshop on navigating accommodation in graduate school.

Disabled scholars and scholars with disability face unique challenges when navigating graduate school. Guided by a commitment to disability justice and equity, this virtual workshop provides information on common accommodations used in graduate school settings, how disabled graduate students or students with disability can ensure they receive the accommodations they are legally afforded, and reflections on communicating accommodations within the graduate program setting. This panel features insights from graduate students, a director of graduate studies, academic resource counselors, and political science faculty. Featured panelists:
