Spring enrollment for the APSA Mentoring Program will be open January 14 – January 31, 2022. The APSA Mentoring Program connects undergraduate, graduate students, and junior faculty to mentors in the political science discipline. Potential mentoring topics include graduate school admissions, navigating the academic job market, applied careers in political science, and work-life balance.
Find a Mentor
Matches will be short term through the end of the spring semester. Interested mentees should log into the APSA website and submit their applications by January 31, 2022, to be considered for a mentoring match. Due to high demand, APSA will not be able to make matches for individuals who submit their mentoring request outside of the set enrollment period.
Become a Mentor
APSA members interested in serving as a mentor can submit or update their profile. We recommend submitting your mentoring profile by February 4, 2022, for first priority to be matched with a mentee for the spring semester. We are especially seeking mentors for women, scholars of color, and LGBT+ individuals. Additionally, we have high demand for mentors who research in the areas of race, ethnicity, and politics, immigration, global health, security studies, political philosophy, and political behavior.
