Graduate school often has students juggling many roles and hats throughout their program. Even the most organized of us can struggle to keep up with the multiple streams of information and obligations in an efficient way. Although we are expected to manage the logistics and information of our programs, we often get little to no training on these skills. This workshop is designed to help fill this gap! We will discuss the basics of managing knowledge (known as “Knowledge Management” or “Personal Knowledge Management”) and demo three knowledge management tools (Notion, Capacities, and Evernote) to support research and logistical management for researchers. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions related to knowledge management in small group breakout rooms in the last third of the session. Panelists include:
- Devon Cantwell-Chavez, University of Ottawa
- Cody Craig, independent researcher and knowledge management consultant
- Arica Schuett, Emory University
