Since 1953 the APSA Congressional Fellowship Program has supported political scientists, journalists, and other professionals in gaining first-hand knowledge of Congress and policymaking through fellowship placements in congressional offices. Christopher Baylor, PhD, University of California, Los Angeles
2017-2018 Congressional Fellow
Christopher Baylor is the author of First to the Party: the Group Origins of Political Transformation, published in October by the University of Pennsylvania Press. Since receiving his PhD at the University of California, Los Angeles, he has taught at Wellesley College and the College of the Holy Cross. In addition to his book, which he discusses in a recent New Books Network podcast, he has published in Studies in American Political Development, the Monkey Cage, and Fortune Magazine.
