The Michael Brintnall Teaching and Learning Award supports faculty attendance at the APSA Teaching and Learning Conference and is named in honor of former APSA Executive Director Michael Brintnall, who was deeply committed to advancing the scholarship of teaching and learning in the discipline.
Intae Choi is a Teaching Postdoctoral Fellow in the Truman School of Government and Public Affairs at the University of Missouri, where he earned his Ph.D. in Public Affairs in 2024. He holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea. His teaching and research interests focus on public administration, leadership, executive politics, and public sector organizational behavior. He is particularly interested in addressing fundamental questions related to the design of institutions through which public power is exercised, as well as the ethical and administrative responsibilities of public officials. As an educator, Intae has taught courses on Public Service and Democracy and Micro-level Organizational Behavior, and he plans to teach topics related to Organizational Dynamics and Leadership. He is committed to fostering an engaging learning environment that emphasizes the practical application of theoretical concepts. Building on his professional experience, he is passionate about interdisciplinary teaching and research, striving to connect political science with broader social science fields to address complex societal challenges.
