Announcing the Political Science Educator

Educate is pleased to announce a partnership with in the Political Science Educator. Going forward, Educate will publish the newsletter’s featured essays, Teacher Scholar Column, and other timely announcements.

The Political Science Educator (PSE) is the Political Science Education Organized Section’s newsletter (Section 29). For the past three decades the PSE has been a vital spacde to political scientists seeking to engage in higher education pedagogical discussion, share classroom activities, advertise professional development opportunities and keep up with the latest trends in social science education. The newsletter has featured authors as diverse as high school educators, PhD candidates, tenured faculty, college librarians and future APSA Presidents. You can find a complete archive of the PSE here.

To celebrate this partnership, Educate put together a curated reading list highlighting some of the PSE’s best work in ways that both represent the this organized sections intellectual heritage and key debates, while being useful to today’s educators.

Bobbi Gentry, associate professor of history and political science at Bridgewater College, is the newsletter’s editor. The PSE is published quarterly and accepts rolling submissions. To submit your work to the Political Science Educator, please email Bobbi Gentry at
