Short Course: Southeast Asia Politics Research Development Group (RDG) Short Course

Southeast Asia Politics Research Development Group (RDG) Short Course

Full Day Short Course
9:00am – 5:00pm

Organized by the Southeast Asian Politics Related Group, this full-day short course provides a collaborative space for the development of emerging research in Southeast Asian politics. The session will feature work by five early career scholars based in or focused on the region, highlighting new perspectives on political systems, governance, civil society, and democratic challenges across Southeast Asia.

To facilitate rich feedback and discussion, papers will be shared in advance with all registered attendees. The format encourages active engagement with the authors and invites constructive critique to help shape the next stages of their research. Scholars working in comparative politics, international relations, area studies, or those with thematic interests in democracy, authoritarianism, or development are especially encouraged to attend.

This short course is open to all Annual Meeting attendees. Pre-registration is recommended.
