Melanie Fillmore (they/them/she/her) is urban mixed Hunkpapa, Lakota of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe of North and South Dakota. Their research is an iterative process to understand the impacts of settler-colonialism on collaborative governance on Idaho’s missing and murdered Indigenous persons policy.
About the APSA Advancing Research Grants for Indigenous Politics Recipients
The APSA Diversity and Inclusion Advancing Research Grants provide support for the advancement of scholars from historically racial and ethnic underrepresented groups and for research that examines political science phenomena affecting historically underserved communities and underrepresented groups and communities. In December 2022, APSA also awarded six projects for the APSA Diversity and Inclusion Advancing Research Grants for Indigenous Politics for a combined amount of $12,000.
