Using a unique database we created that contains Google Scholar citation counts for 4,089 political science faculty, along with other information about them, we list the 100 most cited U.S. political science scholars now teaching at U.S. Ph.D. granting departments.  We also identify the 25 most cited in each five year Ph.D. cohort, the 25 most cited within each major political science subfield, the 40 most cited women scholars, and the 25 most cited still active emeriti. A longer list of the 400 most cited scholars is available as an on-line appendix. Supplementary information in the data set includes date of Ph.D., Ph.D. granting department, major fields of interest, and current school of employment.  We are updating and extending work done more than a decade ago by political scientists Natalie Masuoka and her co-authors, and we look at changes over time in who are the most cited scholars and in their age distribution relative to date of Ph.D.
