In the Spring of 2017, the APSA Professional Ethics, Rights, and Freedoms Committee surveyed the APSA membership to determine the extent and nature of perceived harassment experience at APSA Annual Meetings. Committee chair, Professor Virginia Sapiro, Boston University, and former committee member, Professor David Campbell, University of Notre Dame, co-authored a report based upon the survey findings. The survey and subsequent full version of the report complement the recent institution of the new APSA anti-harassment policy. The PS: Political Science & Politics article is a condensed version of the full report.

In light of the ongoing discussion on sexual harassment, recently APSA reposted its Sexual Harassment Policy. Additionally, APSA provides a sexual harassment resource page which lists a variety of useful internal and external resources, including the meetings code of conduct, the new meetings ombuds resource, and information on how to file a grievance.
