Kathryn Haake, MA – Associated Press
Kathryn Haake covered the state legislatures and politics for the Associated Press in both Idaho and Montana and also covered local elections, crime and corruption for the Missoulian newspaper in Missoula, Montana. Last year she was awarded a spot in the Berlin Capital Program, a Fulbright program for young American journalists.
She has appeared on NBC’s Dateline, written for international and national publications, and also made an appearance in Jon Krakauer’s book Missoula: Rape and the Justice System in a College Town.
Kathryn is also a returned Peace Corps Volunteer who served in Turkmenistan. She has a B.A. in journalism from Baylor University and a M.A. in International and Intercultural Communications from the University of Denver.
