Event Recap: Faculty Attended Symposium on Teaching Undergraduate Research Methods

On March 14-16, approximately 20 faculty members visited APSA headquarters in Washington, DC for the Centennial Center Teaching & Learning Symposium focused on teaching undergraduate research methods in political science. During the three-day event, participants conducted presentations on a range of substantive topics and pedagogical practices related to undergraduate research methods. They also worked in teams to create new teaching resources, which will be made available to the broader community of political science educators through APSA.

The symposium is part of a broader series of teaching and learning symposia that APSA introduced in 2018. The first two events focused on political theory and undergraduate research methods. The next teaching symposium, focused on comparative politics, will be held June 3-5, 2019. More information and submission details can be found here. The deadline to apply is April 26, 2019.
